Even though we would have really loved to, we haven’t been on a honeymoon 10 times. We did it just once. However, we have visited some “honeymoon” places that are just perfect to celebrate love and marriage! Those places will make even the coldest heart melt. They carry the scent of love and happiness! We have traveled to these places and enjoyed every second spent there! This is why we make this list of the best romantic places we have visited so more people can enjoy them. 🍯🐝🌙🌝
It doesn’t really matter if it is your honeymoon or you just want to spend some time with your better half. These places have an atmosphere, romance, emotions, and tasty cocktails. We dare you to read this article and follow your heart. It is about time you follow that crazy voice in your head, leave everything behind and take off to enjoy life at a dream destination!
Kenya
The Indian Ocean kisses the Kenyan coast and the result is shining white sand, beautiful palm trees, and smiling kids.

Cyprus
Forgotten by the people, but still known to the sunny beaches with views of the endless sea. This is our guide for one week in Cyprus.

Dominican Republic
Happiness, dances, and sunsets. The only question here is how much rum and coconut milk you can drink. Dominicana will inspire a lot of different sides to you.

Bali
This is the stereotype of romance. Sometimes it is good to follow tradition and stereotypes. We found out that Bali has, even more, to offer – spirituality and good-hearted locals.
Here is a comprehensive guide to your unforgettable honeymoon in Bali.

Canary Islands
The Canary Islands weren’t hidden in the Atlantic Ocean well enough. Who would mind getting lost on the volcanic beaches of Tenerife, though?

India
The waters of Kerala are the obvious honeymoon place choice for the locals. However, couples in love from all over the world can enjoy sailing with a boat, calmness, and sunsets behind the palm trees. It is a great secluded romantic experience. Or you can try something a bit more untraditional and enjoy a picturesque itinerary in Kashmir.

Japan
This time we are not talking about beaches. In Japan, you can enjoy the breath-taking nature, the inspiring culture and the innovative ways of having fun.

Brazil
The Atlantic coastline hides a lot of nice surprises in Brazil. Enjoy them slowly and to the fullest!

Spain
Who wouldn’t love combining the Coast of the Sun with the soft Spanish speech and romantic serenades? Or going on a road trip to Andalusia?

Mauritius
“God created Mauritius first, and then made a copy which he called Heaven.” We couldn’t agree more with Mark Twain’s statement! We had our own honeymoon in Mauritius.

Iceland
Who says romance is all about palms and sun and beaches? Well, in Iceland romance is all about unbelievable views, chilly wind, and ice! Who’s up for an alternative romantic road trip?

Panama
We found those secluded islands covered with palms and wooden huts, inhabited by fascinating local people! These are the San Blas islands and Guna Yala people in the Caribbean islands of Panama! This might be the dictionary definition of romance…

Seychelles
It’s time to visit the Seychelles islands with their top-notch beaches – a true dream for any honeymooner! Those islands in the Indian ocean are ready to make literally anyone fall in love with them as soon as they explore them!

We would love to visit these honeymoon places once more, even if it is just like that! We close our eyes and we can still teleport there. We can feel the wind, the scent, the taste and the feeling we had.
Now it’s time for you to close your eyes. Which is the first place that comes to mind? Where would you celebrate love? ❤
Do you want the whole story? We included stories about seven of these destinations in our book The Magic of Traveling: Follow the Locals. Go check it out and let’s travel the world together!

Kenya is really underestimated from our point of view and it deserves to be visited. We would love to go back 🙂

Love the list! It’s funny that you went to Yunnesun Spa in Japan because I have just been there. Such a great, unique place!

Thanks! Yes, Yunnesun Spa is one of the jewels we found while exploring Japan. Could you recommend anything else from there for our next visit 🙂 ?

Great post! I went to see the Taj Mahal on my honeymoon, speaking of stereotypes 🙂

Thank you Antonina! Taj Mahal is a magical place, I was there for my birthday and I can tell it is one of the best ones. Great choice for a honeymoon destination.
