From winter snow to island sunsets, 2025 was a year of winding train and foot journeys, jazz on mountain slopes, riverside hikes, and fresh tastes of green everywhere we went. Each trip was a chapter in the story of a year we spent chasing beauty, connection, and the unrepeatable joy of exploration.
This year, we were also intentional about living and traveling more sustainably, in line with our work and our commitment to care for our shared home — the planet — for longer. In a time when many travel blogs and content creators were deeply affected by AI copying and republishing content, traffic loss, and declining income, we chose a different path. We focused on continuing to create free inspirational and practical articles, as well as heartfelt and authentic travel videos that celebrate the world’s beauty, meaningful encounters, and moments of connection and belonging.

January — Sweden: Gothenburg, Örebro, Kopparberg
The year began with the views of fireworks and hot tea in Bansko, before we continued north to Sweden. Gothenburg’s harbor charm, the castle views of Örebro, and the quiet winter atmosphere of Kopparberg set the tone for the first chapter of 2025. The full story and reflections from this journey are shared in our article.
February — Snowboard in Bansko
February was all about winter slopes and snowboard days in Bansko. Cold mornings, fresh snow, and fun downhill moments shaped this mountain escape. The reels capture the mood and highlights from the experience.
March — Madeira for the second time
March brought us back to Madeira for a second visit. The levada walks, ocean cliffs, and colorful villages felt both familiar and new. Our 4-day itinerary article shares how we revisited the island and discovered more of its beauty.
April — Greece and the Netherlands
April began with a first visit to Greece during one of its greenest, most vibrant seasons. Lush hillsides and spring landscapes defined the experience. Later that month, time in the Netherlands for Hero’s Journey brought reflection, learning, and meaningful encounters. One of the most memorable highlights was an outdoor experience in which we had to spend 24 hours in the Dutch countryside with no money, inviting trust, creativity, and deeper awareness of human connection.
May — GreenEuroTrip from Bulgaria to Lagos | Fishermen’s Trail
May was dedicated to slow and sustainable travel. GreenEuroTrip took us across Europe by mostly trains (and some buses) from Sofia to Lagos. The journey itself became part of the adventure, leading into another chapter of hiking along the Fishermen’s Trail.
June — Completed Fishermen’s Trail (Rota Vicentina) | Work trip to Slovenia
June combined adventure and transitions. After completing the Fishermen’s Trail along rugged coastal paths, dramatic cliffs, and windswept Atlantic beaches, we migrated to our Greek home for the summer. Later that month, a work trip to Slovenia brought a different rhythm, with productive days set against scenic landscapes.
July — Chios Island
Chios welcomed us with medieval villages, mastic groves, and deep blue sea views. The island’s lively festival atmosphere filled July with vibrant moments and local celebrations. We share the full itinerary and practical tips in our article. Alongside our time on Chios, we also went to a dance performance in Chalkidiki, which added another layer of cultural experience to our Greek summer.
August — Bansko Jazz Fest
August brought music to the mountains during Bansko Jazz Fest, which once again did not disappoint with world-class performances and unforgettable evenings under the stars. This month also included a visit to a Stelios Rokkos concert in Greece, adding another musical memory to our summer and a throwback to our Greek classes.
September — Samos Island
September completed our Chalkidiki and Greek summer with a visit to Samos — a place that felt easy, light, calm, and surprisingly inspirational for work as well. Crystal clear waters, hillside villages, and quiet coves shaped our days there. Тhe trip lives through our videos, and here is the full article about Samos Island.
October — Oslo and Balestrand, Norway | Wroclaw, Poland
From the urban rhythm of Oslo to the peaceful fjord horizons of Balestrand, October brought a contrast of city and nature. We had the chance to visit Balestrand for the second time and completely fall in love with it again. This time we enjoyed a local sound and music festival, an evening with cider and traditional folklore music, and the unique sense of community that small fjord towns create. In between, a stop in Wroclaw for a Calum Scott concert and a short exploration added a musical highlight to the month.
November — Narrow-gauge railway and spa birthday | Culture in Bansko
There is a special kind of enchantment in stepping aboard a narrow-gauge railway, watching the landscapes unfold slowly. November’s journey was a celebration: a spa birthday for Nace, historic rails, and cultural discoveries in and around Bansko. Thermal pools, mountain views, and quiet town strolls after concerts and theaters shaped this autumn.
December — Moldova road trip
We wrapped up 2025 with a cozy road trip through Moldova. Expect charming vineyards, sleepy towns kissed by early winter frost, and plenty of local hospitality. The full write-up is coming soon.
