Do I need a visa for Canada?

In recent years, visas for citizens of many countries who will travel to Canada for tourism, business or visiting friends in less than 6 months have been waived. For these purposes you need the so-called eTA – electronic travel authorization.

If you have any doubts about whether you need a visa for Canada or just an eTA, the Canadian Government website has a list of visa requirements or eTAs by country and territory.

What do I need to file for an eTA for Canada?

To complete the online application form, you will need a passport, credit or debit card and email address. You need to answer a few questions, too. Detailed information, frequently asked questions and common mistakes you can find here.

Where to apply for a visa to Canada?

We strongly recommend that you use the official website of the Government of Canada. There’s the process of getting your eTA directly through them for 7 CAD and no intermediaries. Everything happens online, then you get your visa at your email. It is valid as long as your passport is valid.
